Bing it On Blogger Challenge 2!
This week I’ve been participating in the Bing Blogger Challenge, a challenge where I’ve used Bing as my search engine for a week to
see if I like it better than Google or Yahoo!
Here is a list of things that make Bing super awesome:
1)
The homepage! Every day there is a new stunning
image as the homepage’s background. It’s so cool that there is a new picture
every day, definitely more appealing than a plain, boring white background!
2)
Along with each picture are small corresponding
boxes with little tidbits of information relating to the picture. You don’t
need to click on anything, but you learn little facts each day!
3)
I love the social aspect that Bing offers. I
connected Bing to my Facebook and when I searched a frozen yogurt shop on Bing,
pictures that my friends had posted about the shop came up on the sidebar! It’s
so neat to be able to see what your friends have posted about certain places or
things!
Overall, I do like Bing better than other search engines.
The aspects that I mentioned above make Bing stand out and make it more interesting
that other search engines. The interesting image, little informational tidbits,
and ability to connect with Facebook are some of my favorite parts about using
Bing.
Thank you to Alt and their partner Bing for asking for my
perspective! This is my first sponsored project and it is nice to know that
even a teen’s opinion matters to brands!

Bing it On Blogger Challenge!
This week I am starting the Bing Blogger Challenge,
otherwise known as “Bing it On”! This is a challenge where you can use Bing for
all your searches for a week to see if you prefer Bing over other search
engines, such as Google. I can’t wait to see what I think about Bing.
Bing lets
you connect Facebook to your searches, so if you search a restaurant for
example, you can see any pictures or posts your friends made about that restaurant.
Bing also has a stunning new picture on its homepage each day, which I look
forward to!
I am excited to be participating in this challenge, sponsored by Alt for its partner Bing!
If you want to try the Bing challenge, visit the Bing Challenge to get started. I
can’t wait, I hope you’ll try it out with me!

Smoothie
{Looking down at the smoothies.}
{Super sweet raspberries!}
{BEST vanilla ice cream in the world.}
This may have been the best smoothie in my LIFE. I don't make smoothies too often, but I randomly had a ripe mango and I didn't know what to do with it... So I blended it up with some raspberries, vanilla ice cream, and milk to make this super thick, creamy smoothie! It was amazing! What is your favorite type of smoothie? Comment below! :)

{Taken from our cabana!}
Recently my family and I went to Morongo in Southern California for a fun day by the pool! It was super hot but the pools were amazing. I went on the lazy river SO many times with my sister! There is even a water slide :) Here are some awesome shots from the day!

{After}
This is what happens when we have Häagen-Dazs in the freezer! Yum! This bar is specifically their vanilla dark chocolate bar... which is awesome because I LOVE dark chocolate! But luckily we have more flavors of their ice cream so this isn't the last of it :)
What flavor is your favorite? Comment below!

4th of July!
{Red and white striped tank and navy blue tank.}
{My grandma's homemade picture-perfect cheesecake.}
This 4th of July was so much fun!! I went to see my city's famous parade, then to a pool party, and then to see fireworks at the beach. I always love the 4th of July so much because it brings back great memories from when I was younger. Here are some cool shots from the day! :)

Birthday
I drove down to Hollywood this weekend for my younger sister's birthday party (it's today, she's turning 9!). I had my little camera ready to go! Here are some shots.
{Lovely dress I got years ago at Forever 21 paired with black tights}
{Neat old theatre my mom used to go to with my dad}

New
My mom brought home some great shoes from her friend on Saturday. Being already naturally tall (5'8!), I'm not usually the one to wear heels... But when I had a fancy event that night and a cream colored lace dress, the shoes were begging to be worn! These will definitely be a new part of my wardrobe.

Pancakes
This weekend I've just felt so lazy! After making some awesome chocolate chip pancakes with a friend on Saturday, I decided to make some more this morning. SO good.
Recipe:
1 cup of Flour
1 tbsp of Sugar
1/2 tsp of Salt
3 tsp of Baking Powder
1 Egg
1 cup of Milk (I use more)
1 tbsp of Oil
Chocolate Chips (optional)
Mix dry ingredients and then add and mix wet ingredients. Add more milk for the right consistency (should be a bit runny so the pancake can cook all the way through). Sprinkle in and then mix in chocolate chips. Cook on a griddle with medium temperature and then serve! :)

Palms
Yay, three day weekend! I got home today and the sun was shining SO beautifully into my room so I captured the moment. It reminded me of summer and made me feels all nostalgic!
The top photo isn't edited but the bottom photo was processed with the Instagram 'Sutro' setting (both photos taken with an iPhone).
Only a little bit more of school and then out for summer! What are you doing this summer? Comment below!

Details
It's been such a long week- finally it's FRIDAY. Time to stop what you're doing, slow down, and look at the details! I feel like life is such a blur sometimes and we all just need to slow it down. In my bathroom I found this little book (I'm not sure whose it is!) called "Don't Just Do Something, Sit There!". A total reversal of the usual saying but SO darn true! That book and the photo above^ are reminders of the things we always pass by. I was at the park with my mom and sister walking back to the car when she veered off the trail and saw these magnificent little flowers! Their color, shape, and vibrancy are so magnificent so I captured it with the iPhone Ollo Clip and posted it to Instagram with the 'Amaro' setting.
Feel free to comment on a detail you have found lately or some weekend plans you have!

Seeing Through a New Light
Hello everybody! I've decided to see things in a new light: I'm going to start blogging some of the photos I've taken with my camera and with Instagram! I don't have an iPhone or an iPod touch but I love to borrow my mom's iPhone and take pictures through Instagram. In this photo I used an Ollo Clip, which is a small lens that attached to an iPhone with 3 different lenses: a macro lens, a fisheye, and a wide angle lens. This photo is taken with the macro lens (you get to shoot photos SUPER close with it to capture the details!) and processed it with the "Amaro" Instagram setting. Keep checking my blog for more photos!

Shot@Life

Shot@Life. A brand new United Nations Foundation campaign that is dedicated toward giving children in developing countries a shot at life, through the use of vaccines for preventable diseases. I just learned that a child dies every 20 seconds from a preventable disease, that can be prevented just by these vaccines.
I am actually currently attending the Shot@Life summit in Washington D.C., where we are all learning about how to creatively fundraise for this cause. Besides, it only takes $5 to vaccinate a child for polio and measles, two of the deadliest killers for children in developing countries. And only $20 to vaccinate a child from multiple diseases. Help save a child's life today. No donation is to small to help, and something is better than nothing :)
